You or Family?

With a gun to your head, would you choose the life of a family member or yourself? I had to face this in a way a few years ago. Someone attacked my brother, and before I had time to think (which I had thought, but on a totally subconscious level), I was attacking the man attacking my brother. I have a lot of pain associated with the event, but in some ways, it was the proudest moment of my life.It's part of the reason I write this blog. So, with a gun to my head, I would choose family.
